Latest restrictions due to Coronavirus announced today. Mall and restaurants to shut. Distance learning in schools from next monday. Empty churches.

This will have a big effect on all those who were going out for Christmas Day Lunch, and those supplying it obviously..

It seems unfair that Paphos must go on suffering one lockdown after another. There are far less virus cases in Paphos as a glance at the daily figures of the rapid tests for each town confirms. The main towns with the highest no of cases are Nicosia and Larnaca.
I feel very sorry for the many restaurants and tavernas, who don't know what will happen to them. Now they are being deprived of their incomes for most of December, which is a busy month for them.

Nicosia has more cases because there are more people and more tests.

I think the idea is to prevent it getting worse no matter what district you are in.
