Opening times of Sweet shop

Can anyone please advise the opening times of the new sweet shop opposite Andy's Telecom? I'm not sure if it is Syrian or Lebanese or neither! I have tried in the afternoon and again this morning at 9.45 am and both times it was closed.

No, but I did fairly well recently scoffing all the mega-size Toblerones in Pop Life. This was last week's haul. Now that we don't get to go through Duty-free, Christmas is the only opportunity to buy this size in Cyprus

But to answer Aphrodite, the impression I get is that all the sweets are baked fresh each day, so I wouldn't be surprised if they open mid morning. When we popped in it was late morning. The shop is Syrian owned. The lady there explained that they don't open in the mornings in the summer months because of the heat.

Just went on their website. Says they close at 10pm, so I guess a late start is to be expected. Call them on 26 040404 to ascertain.

We once won one of those mega bars of toblerones, it was the size of tree trunk, it kept us going for months, just looked it up, 4.5 kilos

Wow, white toblorone is my favourite. Did you buy all the stock HIC, or is there any left?

Thank you HIC, your help much appreciated. I will try both Pop Life and Golden Sweets on Monday. I've heard Golden Sweets do a great selection box for €20 which will be great for extra stocking fillers. If I can source White Toblerone, these will be mine!

Ah, now there is a method in my madness, I feel compelled to gorge myself on a selection box to sample first and then pre order for Christmas week.

My €20 selection box. . Have already sampled and they are great and not sweet and syrupy like some of the Cypriot sweets. The owner and baker of these delights, Zaher from Syria, is a lovely and welcoming man. Recommended!
