How awful. Tragedies such as this always seem worse at Christmas time. -Condolences to the man's family. I cannot begin to imagine how the driver must be feeling, he is in his own personal hell right now.

Very sad indeed. Father of 2 young children and well known locally. They MUST put pavement and better lighting along that road.

Such a very sad news. Lofos-Jan, which road was it. The road from Kissonerga to Peyia or Michalakis Kyprianou - the road into the village?

It must be the coast road Potima to Peyia otherwise it would say from Coral Bay to Peyia.LouiseCastricum wrote: ↑Sat Dec 05, 2020 10:07 am Such a very sad news. Lofos-Jan, which road was it. The road from Kissonerga to Peyia
I feel for the family of the deceased.

Yes I saw in the Greek news that it was the coastal road. So sad and very dangerous to walk in the dark. Feel so sorry for all involved.

Terrible thing to happen, I guess the driver of the car must be in a state of shock.
The problem that I find is that so often pedestrians seem to be mainly clad in black clothes making them harder to see. If you then add both darkness and a badly lit road with no pavement, its just an accident waiting to happen...
