I sometimes wonder why the police have special weeks focusing on one aspect of safety in the car. Yes, wearing seatbelts is compulsory, and should be observed, there are a number of other factors which contribute to serious accidents. Shouldn't the police be focused on all of them while on duty- all the time?

One officer placed at one of several locations in Paphos ( TOTK s Irish bar junction, Geriskipou lights, Lidl junction Polis Rd) would witness several offences mobile phone use , speeding, children stood up , no seat belts U-turns around traffic lights etc

Mouse, you summed up exactly how I feel!
The road junction near LIdl is very dangerous. Leaving that store you are forced to turn left. Trying to turn right at the junction with Polis Rd to proceed towards town centre is difficult. It is a place where all cars should use their indicators, to help other motorists. But many don't, some coming from the Polis direction swing right with no warning at all. Making it difficult for motorists coming from Lidl to turn right safely.
When that store was built, more thought should have been given to the extra amount of traffic It would generate.
