On Friday I spoke to two police officers in the police cabin in Chlorakas,they told me that people walking their dog must wear a mask.

What kind of argument is that? It´s like saying you can have a BBQ in a forest in the middle of a drought because there has been a barn burning recently and that fire was much bigger than the one for the BBQ.

Went out walking (for exercise) yesterday afternoon along the coastal path in Chlorakas & less than 50% wore a mask. I wasn't wearing mine until I was approaching people, also out for their exercise. The people I was approaching however, didn't put on a mask!

A lady in Polis walked 50 metres to put some rubbish in a bin and was fined for not wearing a mask!

Hopefully wearing a mask outdoors will be clarified tomorrow when possible more drastic measures are to be discussed.

Son-in-law stepped out of our shop the other day, wearing a mask. As he did so, he was aware of a Police car crawling along at slow speed, scanning. He was sure that if he had not been wearing a mask, he would have been nicked. This must be one of the most ridiculous laws ever, but hey it's the law, so you have to comply. But go to a wedding with 349 others and you can drink and eat in very close company to your heart's content.

Be careful out there, over here in the East , plain clothes coppers are being used to pop into stores etc,

My evidence is, a friend of my wife works in a bakery, ten minutes before her shift finished, there was no one in the store so she lowered her mask under her nose, because after an eight hour shift, she needed some air, in walks a man and women, she then placed her mask back properly, too late they were plain cloths officers checking business,s , 300 euro fine, the lady earns 900 for a months work. yes by the letter of the law she was guilty, but surely some common sense should of been used.

There are also plain clothes officials checking businesses in Pafos. I know of one restaurant chef who was fined for his mask only covering his mouth and not extending to cover his nostrils.
I was present in a restaurant in Pafos district when the officials came in for a follow up check, so 100% they are conducting checks this way.

I was in a coral bay restaurant a few nights back and the owner whom we have know for many years told us that plain clothes police had visited his establishment numerous times checking staff front of house and behind the scenes. He also said he expects to shut up shop in the coming weeks until the next year.

I walk along the sea front in Paphos most days going for my swim at Ta Bania. Since the wearing of masks became compulsory I have noticed a lack of uniformed police around ,there were usually the two on cycles most days. Are they all plain clothes now?

Sat outside a local bar in Pafos and a couple came in the bar sat down ordered water and remained seated for 15 minutes , got up paid the bill and left after speaking to the manager giving him the all clear plain clothes police officers are very common now
