We've never used one but I think the time has come when one will be very useful.
Recommendations, good or bad will be welcomed, as well as places to buy such an item.

Recommendation for steam cleaner
Re: Recommendation for steam cleaner
If you have good rugs or carpets, it is worth getting a specialist cleaning company to come and either clean them in situ, or take them away to clean at their premises, I recommend RCS Carpet and upholstery cleaners. Tel99131044.
They clean my rugs each year and do a very good job. They will also Scotchgard them, if you ask. This repels any stains. Their prices seem quite reasonable too.

Re: Recommendation for steam cleaner
Thanks Dee, we have rugs and carpets but they are all easily cleanable and I do them every spring before they're put away for the summer.
The steam cleaner is really for the tiled floors, walls and some of the household appliances. I just wonder if they are better than a normal mop head.
Thanks again

Re: Recommendation for steam cleaner
Premier Electric also sell steam cleaners. I used to have one which did a good job of cleaning my kitchen and utility room floors Mine had removable and washable pads. I didn't use it for cleaning walls or domestic appliances.
