Makes sense, I have friends who were unable to travel as results arrived late.

Totally agree 96 hours would make greater sense as I have heard of people getting back results after 72 hours, weekends are proving to be a great problem.
Recently took tests for my wife to go into private hospital for day treatment and only just got them in time.... great worry... waiting for negative result. With the new situation with difficulties in the UK getting tests it makes total sense. Hope the hotels are heard by the Cyprus government

Mark my words! If the powers to be allow 96 hours validity, which would be negative for the safety of the country, you can bet your bottom dollar that within a week there would be people clamouring for 120 hours validity or longer. Where would it end?

An extra 24 hours will make little difference, though not sure many people will want to fly from the UK at present, unless for longer stays.
Re: UK operators want tests for British tourists to be valid for 96 hours
If the figures in the UK carry on at the current rate - UK is heading for Category C so number of hours will be irrelevant.

Agree with the above, UK figures are going through the roof at present, more chance of tightening up entry to Cyprus rather then relaxing the rules.
