Wife and daughter often buy from the Beauty Shop, right where Stan and Tracy's shop used to be, just up from the Evangelismos. They buy all kinds of toiletry as well as cosmetic items, at ultra low prices.
They were hugely disappointed to be recently told by the owner that he is closing down at the end of October. When they asked him why, they expected to hear Covid-related issues.
On the other hand "Beauty Line" opened another shop right next to Cyta on the same road side. You can find more or less all famous brands, different price category though....
Beautyline are not the same sort of shop as the Beauty Shop, it will be missed by many people, but it’s completely understandable why they are closing down
The uk is still in the transition period with the eu, if the business is a successful and profitable one I would personally carry on ordering from the uk, possibly extra supplies as well and meanwhile source the cheaper, end of line, surplus or bankrupt stop that these “value “ shops seem to stock from within the eu. The only uncertainties of brexit is the final trade deal. Where the shop is situated wouldn’t be affected by tourist numbers as these places are used by expats purely on there out of the way locations
The notice that they're closing down has been on the entrance door for quite some time now. It will be a shame to see them close down but I suspect other outlets will open in the fullness of time. There are a lot of younger ex-pats moving over......
