Yep I think we will be relying on Arab states more and more.....

I also think that your assumption that every article posted on here is speculative, is very naive...surely investments are speculative too? Would the UK will be expected to do something for such investment? Maybe give freedom of movement for certain Qataris to enter the UK?

Double knife edged...

"I also think that your assumption that every article posted on here is speculative, is very naive..."

OK - so find me one link or one cut and paste from any remainers which is based on solid hard facts and not assumptions, speculation, supposition, journalistic licence, journalistic incompetence.............

All I ever see is "according to this company , that guru, this expert, that journalist Brexit will mean............." All assumptions no fact.

And here you go again..."surely investments are speculative too" - more assumptions, no fact. This is all the remainers ever post.

And why? Because there are no facts yet, because no one knows what is going to happen until the negotiations - which haven't even started yet - are complete, so what is the point of posting scaremongering assumptions?

Regardless of what might have to be given in exchange, if anything, and we don't know this yet, so it's assumption again - this is documented fact that Quatar, one of,if not the biggest investor in the UK is prepared to invest another £5b in UK to help it through the Brexit process.

And what do you know, the first remainer to post turns it into yet another assumption. Quelle surprise!

Solid, factual information, not assumption, not speculation.

But aren't you a brexiteer looking for any positives? Quelle surprise :D

So how come you post FACTS and those who wish to stay in the EU and are now being dragged kicking and screaming out can't point out our facts?

This never has, and never will be a one sided arguement the UK is acutely divided....

If you keep getting so upset with intelligent remainers posting on the subject, just don't reply....

Because they aren't facts...

All you have is speculation about what might/could/possibly happen at the end of the 2-year negotiating period.

Which is why we end up with posts about children being sent up chimneys, workers rights being removed, etc.

No, a Brexiteer looking for honesty and facts, both of which are sadly lacking in the remainers posts!!

"So how come you post FACTS and those who wish to stay in the EU and are now being dragged kicking and screaming out can't point out our facts? "

Lynsab, which part of assumptions do you not understand? I have yet to see any facts posted by the remainers. As I've said several times it's just cut n pastes and links to journalistic assumptions and presumptions. Not my problem if you see them all as fact. As I said, show me a factual posting, where is it???

"This never has, and never will be a one sided arguement the UK is acutely divided...."

So why do the remainers assume they are right????? I've yet to see any proof of that. (Presume you mean argument)

"If you keep getting so upset with intelligent remainers posting on the subject, just don't reply...."

Sorry, where do you get yet another assumption from, well two actually. Firstly I'm not upset, and secondly who decided you are all intelligent? Proof would be good! Can't say I've seen much yet.

Lynsab, accept it. Brexiteers are happy to accept the outcome of the negotiations, whatever they are. Why wouldn't we, we cannot influence them!! Now that's intelligence for you.
Remainers on the other hand believe that as long as they continue to post cut n pastes, spurious links to journalistic assumptions, silly presumptions from pseudo experts, they are providing intelligent data to support their arguments. Sadly not. Start posting facts, preferably intelligent facts and we may start listening.

So far, it hasn't happened.

Absolutely spot on Lynsab, can't speak for anyone else but I've certainly never pretended otherwise. How could I/we?? There aren't any, as I keep pointing out. Yet you remainers keep swamping us with your so called facts. Which of course they are not. Simply journalistic assumptions.

It's impossible for anyone to have facts about Brexit, it's solely in the hands of the negotiators. So why the constant links, the cut n paste, the copying of journo articles etc etc etc etc etc etc

Waste of time and space, who's it going to influence!! Like David Davies is going to be looking on a Cyprus forum for ideas about how he's gonna pull Juncker and Merkel into line???

I thought this thread was about Qataris investing in UK. There are enough threads about UK leaving the EU without creating another one and regurgitating the various arguments pro and con all over again.

There are plenty of facts.

There are 168 non-EU countries in the world and many of them have all the things that you remainers tell us are only possible because of the EU. workers rights, health and safety, clean drinking and bathing water, children not being sent up chimneys, trade, etc.

It is just the remainers that think none of this is possible without the EU...

Sorry to be pedantic but there is no "u" in Qatari.
The county's name is Qatar. Having spent 5 years of my life living there I know how sensitive they are about the spelling.
And why not? We wouldn't like it if others spelt England as Ingland (or whatever).
