Re: Polis mayor ???satisfied??? with visitor numbers
I'd say good for him! Perhaps Polis is different to Paphos and appeals to both holidaying Cypriots as well as some tourists? I'm in no way running down Paphos but the papers are full of the woes of those involved with the tourist trade there. There are also a considerable number of hotels close to Paphos so tourists have more choice now of where to stay in a difficult year when when there are less people taking holidays abroad.

Poolriver. That might be because its a holiday weekend.

I live in the Polis area and apart from the August holiday I’ve never seen it so busy at weekends, mostly Cypriots who are filling the tavernas, boat trips are mostly full and boat hires doing great business. After the lockdown it’s great to see the area thriving at weekends.

I can understand that. Lots of Cypriots prefer to holiday in Polis as opposed to "Paphodorm".
Ticking away, the moments that make up a dull day.
