I'm going for an MRI later this month.
The doctor I am registered with is under Gesy.
However I have heard that under certain conditions the patient has to pay a proportion of the cost towards certain procedures.
For example I recently had to pay towards the cost of hiring an operating theatre at a clinic for an hour, but the procedure was carried out under Gesy for just the normal €6
Can anyone enlighten me with costs, if applicable.
Thanks in advance
MRI Payment via Gesy?
Re: MRI Payment via Gesy?
If I was you I would just ask, your doctor Or the clinic which you are going to. . For example I had to pay €20 to the clinic I was sent to for a mammogram. But it was still a substantial saving over what I would have had to pay had I gone privately.

Re: MRI Payment via Gesy?
I paid €30 towards the cost for my wife's MRI but a previous one was€10, it seems to depend on where the MRI is ...oh and plus extra for the injection of stuff that shows up on the scan.... €10?)...
Re: MRI Payment via Gesy?
Thank you, we have no objection to paying at all, but it caught us on the hop at the clinic as we had not been advised beforehand.
However, the manager of the clinic was more than happy to receive cash!

At George Vorkas I paid 10 euros for an MRI
If you never ask the question, the answer will always be....no
Re: MRI Payment via Gesy?
I also paid 10 Euro a couple of weeks ago in Paphos for an MRI. The procedure only takes about 20-30 mins but the waiting much, much longer, check-out the reviews on Google.
