A chance diversion from a scenic route home brought us to write this blog. This is what we love so much about Cyprus. You only need to take a left instead of a right, see where you end up, and take the time to have a look around. Adventure and wonder are just around the corner. And kittens.
If you are knowledgeable on cats, please read this...

I hope they sleep at night, otherwise it is going to be quite noisy...

Afraid not Maggie B, Alex is allergic to animal hair. A local cat who has tried to adopt us gets petted but isn't allowed in the house. And we have a rabbit which does occasionally come in when the daughter looks pitiful enough, but it can't stay for long before Alex's eyes start streaming and the sneezing begins.

I hoped the first time we saw them that the mother was just away hunting. But when we came back the next day it was clear they were on their own and looked a lot more bedraggled too. Had they been nearer to us we could have just left them and kept an eye on them, but this was the only real option.Yioula wrote: ↑Sun Aug 09, 2020 9:11 pm Great blog.......I just had this feeling when I saw the kittens mum had disappeared they look around 6 weeks old

Anyway, the kittens are tucked up asleep now. I have made a play area for them where the barbecue is, but for the night we put them in the patio, in a large rabbit cage we can cover with a sheet. When I went out to cover the bun the kittens were quiet, but when they heard me the little meows started up again for a bit. So they are doing ok.
