Please be aware that the levels of ultraviolet light are likely to be very high over the next few days. If you have a sensitive skin, use your UV block more carefully, especially between 10 AM and 5 PM. We may see some more bright red bodies coming from the beach.

This is a bit late as a warning, as the past few days the UV levels here around Paphos have been 10/10, according to my daily weather forecast which includes UV levels...
The sun has been wickedly strong. Hopefully it has also been so hot that it must have deterred most sensible people from staying out in the sun..particularly between 11 - 5.

A UV index of 10 is considered "very high". Over the next four days, my system records the potential UV index of 11, which is "extreme". Do not forget that the UV index is on a logarithmic scale, so that going up from 10 to 11 represents an increase of (I think) 3.16 times, which is a hell of a lot!

I see the midday forecast has reduced the UV danger from "extreme" to "very high" with an index of around 10.

Thursday was a really hot day and humid too with boiling hot sun. After just doing my usual food shop and driving back home, I didn't feel at all well. Stayed inside for the rest of the day, having taken an electrolyte tablet dissolved in water. I've also been living here for a long time and thought I was used to the heat.
