was one of the nights one prefers when it comes to night shots. No moon, no wind, no aeroplanes, no car traffic....and no mosquitoes!

Only some light mist prevented a better view of the Milky Way...

We saw the Neo wise comet not as good as clear Hale Bopp though

After research I know now that the bright star is Venus.

I reduced the setting of ISO to 800 from before 2500 to avoid the pic becomes too grainy as the conditions changed to a clearer sky at 3 AM.
(for photo freaks, my setting was: 15 sec, F2.8, 24mm,ISO 800, camera on floor....)
