Re: jet 2
I understand your frustration but some have lost more than flights..
I am absolutely 100% sure that if they could fly here, then they would.
Having just handed in my uniform today and attended a meeting following being made redundant, I can say with some certainty that the Cy Govt have had something to do with the flight and holiday cancellations and the UK Govt implementation of 14 day quarantine hasn’t helped.
For flights to take passengers back to UK they have to arrive here full of passengers wanting to come to Cy, it doesn’t make business sense for them to operate ghost flights, but given that Cy has reacted well to the virus containment and I believe we are out the other side, do we really want all these potentially positive Covid 19 cases flying in creating another spike here.

Re: jet 2
I totally agree, they never should have allowed any flights into Cyprus from certain countries,I realize of course they can't fly an almost empty plane here, but at the same time it's bl..dy frustrating!!,I tried ages ago to get on one of the repatriation flights back to UK but no luck, will keep fingers crossed this time Jet 2 don't cancel, six months nearly I have been here, should have been two weeks!!

From information received today, a lot of customers have delayed their trip till 2021, record booking apparentlyTanny wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2020 7:33 pm Personally I think the company has been 'at it' by issuing tickets they suspect they won't have to honour but delay, thus retaining the cashflow positive.
Its a gamble that some travellers are willing to take believing that by buying the cheaper tickets for early july suspecting they won't fly, they will be rebooked to later flights that will be sold more expensive. Its a gamble.
