Episkopi Rocks!

Post by Dominic »

A drive from Episkopi to Eledio, over the swanky new bridge. Star of the show is definitely the huge rock formation that dominates the village.

We've got a nice, chilled soundtrack too.

NB: this is Episkopi, Paphos, not Episkopi, Limassol.

We drove down that route yesterday, trying to get a long wheelbase 4x4 through Episkopi isn't the easiest task but good fun. We went to the reservoir through Nata to try and get to the the deserted village which we did though part of the old track had been washed away and wasn't suitable for cars. Sometimes we turn left just before the new bridge and that takes you up towards Lemona and another deseted village.

Yes, funnily our next blog will feature a birdseye view of that very village, assuming you meant Pitargou. There is in fact another one down there too, called Moro Nero. That one is on the left, just past a farm.

Explore Pitargou at your peril. By all accounts the farmer who lives there is very aggressive and doesn't take kindly to visitors.

Yes I did mean Pitargou, I think the farmer keeps his goats in the abandoned cottages there. He came out as we drove past but we didn't stop fortunately.
