very bad TV reception

Have read that other people are having problems with tv freezing clicking ,black screen, our's is really bad, the strange thing is the tv in the bedroom seems fine, did anyone get a solution? funny enough night time seems ok.so I don't think it's the TV. Open to any suggestions

Have you tried lifting the box up a bit, say put two pencils under the bottom?, it may be it is getting a little hot during the day.

I have seen this before with the MAG250/254 boxes.

It sits on its side so it doesn't get too warm, Jenny

With a MAG simply remove the top cover, it's only held on by two screws Make sure it is sighted where little fingers won't touch the gubbins inside.
Of course it will invalidate any warranty but they are cheap enough.

Just to add my two penneth.. As mentioned elsewhere the HD version of (for instance) the BBC runs better than the SD version. I have my box raised up on little legs stuck on with 'blutak'

The reason for removing the cover is to increase air flow and allow the heat build up to dissipate from the device which can cause problems, the heat sink within the box is not very big. I would also make sure your box has the latest Infomir updates.
