No you can't go at the moment. They are closed until after Easter. But next week you will be able to go again. We last went on wednesday, using option 8 in the SMS.

It's a great way to social distance as well. You will probably be the only one there, along with the guy in the shed.

Over In Larnaca we get a lorry come round every Thursday, just leave out your plastics/ glass/ cartboad, etc and they pick it up, the great thing is the amount of household that do it

Normally the green points are a bit busier. Quiet at the moment though. We mainly use them for dumping garden waste. We have been doing a lot of weeding over the last few weeks and if left in piles it becomes a haven for snakes etc.

Even leaving the waste sacks lying around for a couple of days is hazardous enough. A couple of times I have been driving alone in my car and sensed a presence. This can go on for a day or two before a lizard finally reveals itself by scurrying over my foot as I am driving. I have to stop and eject the lizard. I often wonder what they make of their repatriation. It must be quite a shock for a fine upstanding Polemi lizard to find itself in the slums of Geroskipou.*

* this is a joke. Geroskipou is a lovely village. I even saw some lizards relaxing in hammocks there once, smoking pipes. Please don't send me any PMs.

It certainly isn't a dump. You will need to separate your green waste from your metal and rubble before you get there.
