Free Covid-19 tests for all Kouklia residents

Kouklia community council has decided to cover the cost of coronavirus tests for all its residents.The decision was taken by the community council by teleconference and consultations were underway with the district office and the Health Ministry to set the process in motion, CNA reports....

Having some of the highest communal fees in the region I would think they could afford it.

What kind of test? For antibodies or virus?

That’s good Lloyd. They were more than double the next nearest municipality at one point. They must have quite some reserves though. You are right in that if you have been in the house for several weeks and the test is for the virus rather than the antibody test then it would seem a waste of a valuable test. The antibody test may be worth it as there appears to be a number who are are asymptomatic.

If it was a swab test for the virus I´d give it a pass unless I had symptoms. They only become positive shortly (1-3 days) before the onset of symptoms anyway and aren´t very pleasant.
