Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been moved out of intensive care but remains in hospital, Downing Street has said.
Mr Johnson has been receiving treatment for coronavirus at St Thomas' Hospital in London since Sunday.
No 10 said he "has been moved this evening from intensive care back to the ward, where he will receive close monitoring during the early phase of his recovery".
A spokesman added: "He is in extremely good spirits."
He was taken to hospital on Sunday - 10 days after testing positive - and was moved to intensive care on Monday.

The prime minister was receiving "standard oxygen treatment" in intensive care and had not been on a ventilator, Downing Street said earlier.
He "continues to improve" after a "good night" and thanked the NHS for the "brilliant care" he has received, the spokesman added.
Meanwhile, applause rang out across the UK in the third "Clap for Carers" event, where people in lockdown show their appreciation for NHS staff and other workers on the front line of the pandemic.
A total of 7,978 people have now died in hospital after testing positive for coronavirus, up by 881 on Wednesday.

I'm sure WHL didn't really mean to put his last post immediately after the last sentence of the previous post. Rather unfortunate juxtaposition.

Sorry I left school at fifteen, without an ology,so I haven't a clue what 'juxtaposition' means

He's just being a pedant. It may help if you ignore his posts.

Well, I beat you to it I left school on the day after my 16th birthday! What makes you think that I know what juxtaposition means? I thought it just looked good!

The best thing about doing a degree at Imperial College was that we got to have our graduation ceremony in the Albert Hall. My parents and grandad loved that.

I'm jealous. My ceremony was shaking hands with the boss man, no paraphernalia (sorry, WHL
), no gowns, but clothes rationing was still on. You would laugh if you saw my diploma, typewritten on a scrappy piece of paper about 100 x 150 mm. My 'highers' certificate much more impressive!

The only downside was that Robert Maxwell was receiving an honorary degree at the same ceremony. My Grandad had some choice words about that man, and boy, he was not wrong.
