Explosion in BodyLine building!!!! Friends from Limassol, are you okay?! Ambulance vehicles and firefighters have arrived at the scene, the neighborhood was cordoned off: - ((( There is a new office and studios of Russian Wave there.
Now - did the explosion target a beauty salon?!
Or was a Russian radio station the target?
And would the Cyprus authorities play down any suggestion of an attack on something Russian - i.e. political?!
I just had a look through the Russian press. This story is being quite widely reported, mostly from the initial facebook story from Sergey.
But one source did not even mention the Russian Radio station in the building. Who knows? Maybe we'll find out in time.
Another source actively named the explosion as an attack on a Russian radio station. (my initial posting).
If somebody has started targetting Russians in Cyprus (perhaps in reaction to Putin bombing Syria) that would be worrying.
Short video on youtube here -
Взрыв прогремел в здании русской радиостанции Russian Wave на Кипре
Explosion hits the building housing Russian radiostation, Russian Wave, in Cyprus (my bad trans) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lleWVWITC_4
Yes, but I can't help wondering what the owner of beauty salon must have done to warrant an arson attack. You would have to have severely bodged a make-over for that to happen.
