Coronavirus: Three week lockdown in force from Tuesday

President Nicos Anastasiades on Monday announced restrictions in circulation and closures of public areas including churches in a bid to stop the spread of the coronavirus.The measures will be in force between Tuesday at 6pm and April 13.

I am little confused here, you send a text message to say you need to go out it has to be approved and you receive a confirmation saying when you have to be home by. However the other option is you just print off a piece of paper and approve yourself and go back in whenever you want. Anyone else see the flaw is this plan?

You have to put times on the paper

If you were a little nefarious you just leave it blank and scribble in a time if you get stopped. Surely the point was to stop too many people in certain areas. If you send in the text it gets checked against others with your post code and you get given a time slot that has less people out and about.

Why not just obey the rules and help stop the virus

You are aware you're in Cyprus right, not a lot of rule following goes on here! Already had our next door neighbours elderly and slightly frail looking dad popping round to them for a chat! I personally will be staying in unless the cupboards are bare and have set up a WhatsApp group with neighbours that we can take it turns to go shopping so only one person has to be out rather than 4.
