New Post Office Opening Hours

I saw this headline on another group, and thought "Oh what good News" I was wrong....

" Operating hours of all Post Offices as from 10th February 2020, will be 8:00 am until 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday "

They used to close at 3 pm

Perhaps they are closing earlier so they can concentrate more on sorting?

I'm sure I recall when the IMF gave Cyprus a bailout they were requiring public bodies to work later; i.e., not 2pm or 2.30pm, but to 3pm

Ah but that was several years ago.... but reduced working hours must mean that they have even less time to sort out backlogs of post or parcels at all PO’s and particularly the main Post offices
So not good news methinks.

I seldom go to the Anavargos PO, as my PO box is at the other Paphos PO. However when I do have go to Anavargos, I have sometimes found that the staff attitude is different and much less helpful. As the main PO for Paphos area they have to deal with all the mail which arrives from Limassol and then send it out to all the other post offices...

I've never had a problem with the staff there. Quite friendly and helpful.
