Following our recent trip to Pomos we thought it would be nice to present all the full reservoirs we have visited in one blog. We will concentrate on the ones you haven't seen yet, so start at Pomos Reservoir and work our way back to Paphos.

The answer why the Arminou dam is low recently gives the article in PPress today.... Google translation...but good enough:

Things are simple and the Department of Water within the aquatic management of stocks with this action achieves a number of goals.
The Kourris underground aquifer is strengthened which is considered more sensitive and more disturbed than that of the Arminos area and the Diarizos valley in general.
It must be assured that Arminou with the melting snow will again receive the stocks it needs
The time this particular "feed" is made, beginning in the middle of the Winter season, enables the Water Development Department to do so as we have essentially another 2-3 months of input ahead of us.
It is preferable to lower the fullness in Arminou (given time point: 3) rather than overflow and cause problems in the cultivation and area of Diarizos.
Kourris through the "subsidy" from Arminou, in addition to enriching its underground aquifer from the overflow to the sea, gradually reinforces the Achna dam, whose fullness is increasing.
In short, the question of many of our fellow citizens who daily study the water reserves in our dams and analyze the statistics seems to be justified what we are able to know after a survey we have done is that there is no cause for concern and is properly managed by WDD. this way water in Arminou as it manages it"
