There is an app I’ve just discovered that would be very useful in Cyprus, what3words.
Basically the developer’s of this app have divided the world into 3x3 metre squares, each square is then identified by three words.
So, for example someone asks on this forum, “Where is the General Hospital in Paphos”, all you need to do is look up the hospital in the app, in this case the words are “career.ribs.mass”
These words are then given to the person requiring the location, they input the words into the app and the exact location is shown on a map, this can then be opened in a navigation app such as Waze, and off you go.
I thought it would be useful in Cyprus as addresses can be vague, and this app would help significantly.
In the UK the emergency services use this app, for instance locating an incident / accident where there isn’t an address, on a dark motorway, or country road.

Re: What3words
I too know about this App, and thought it would be very handy if you had to call an ambulance to your home for example... But there can be problems... Will a Cypriot ambulance driver have the App and will he clearly understand the words.." Career, Ribs, and Mass ..

Re: What3words
The Cypriot version would need to be in Greek, which could then form pronounciation issues for immigrants.
