We visited the Ayios Georgios Shrine Caves quite a while ago, but returned recently to make a virtual tour. We were pleasently surprised when we did so to find that the area now hosted an outdoor Eco Art Exhibition. This place is really worth checking out, and makes a lovely walk.

I've always loved walking along this trail. Although I didn't know about the art exhibition. Interesting pieces, but the artists' descriptions are nearly all contenders for pseuds corner.
I've always assumed the building seen above is a remnant from the old airdrome on the flat land where the impossibly straight road is. Of course, I have no evidence for any of this, but locals say there was an airdrome somewhere in Geroskipou.

We went past there on a walk last week. If you start at the Debenhams roundabout, take the road to Gereskipou. Turn right at the first traffic lights there, drive down the hill past the new Pakora King restaurant,on your left. When you reach 7 St Georges Taverna on your left, turn left into the narrow lane besides it. Drive down the lane until it terminates in a large graveled parking area. You have arrived!
The caves are along the bottom of the cliff immediately on your left.
Modern art isn’t my cup of tea, but if you like that sort of thing you’ll enjoy it.
There is an information board near each cave, but the descriptions on some of them were hard to fathom.

We went here this morning and what a lovely place it is. Can’t believe that after 25 years of visiting and part time living here we didn’t know about the caves. We had a walk along the path too before going back and looking at the art installations again.
Thank you all for helping us to find it.
