The other day I was out Christmas Shopping. I had parked in a side road near the Cyta Building due to the volume of shoppers around. I hadn't been down this road before, and was surprised by what I found down there. What do you think?

Re: Paphos Medieval Tower
They have done an awful lot of repair work to this tower. When we first discovered it -several years ago it was about a third of what it is now and you could walk into it. Looking far better now and U=I see they have support structure. Thanks for the picture Dominic.

It is not a ‘Medieval’ tower! It was what remains of a windmill, built around 1860 or thereabouts by a business man from somewhere like Mykonos or somewhere like that (I cannot quite remember)! It was restored fairly recently by the Department of Antiquities I believe.

Upon reflection I think the merchant who built this windmill may have been from Chios.
