Post by Dominic »

In the final part of our look at the Paphos Cliffs, we uncover an Archaeological Site, along with some not-so-archaeological digs.

It looks to me that the large pond is also ancient and perhaps belonged to a Greek/Roman settlement they are digging out at the moment...together with the stone wall it could be something big what they discovered there. (perhaps a temple?)

the fish pond was feed by an underground small stream and kept to a much higher depth with a simple overflow system, if you look at the picture of the pond, the excess water used to drain via a pipe to the drain Gulley top left of the Pic, then into the waste water drains in the roads.
