I've been out of the country for a week, so thought I should re-acquaint myself with the Sea Front and Harbour at the earliest opportunity. Let's take a stroll and see what is happening...

Re: Moved
You shouldn't be using a UK EHIC card if you live here. And that article is from the US, advertising an insurance company. Regarding your list, you will need to inform the various utility companies. For electricity, for instance, you should take a meter reading on the day you leave. That sort of thi...

Re: Journey Towards The Blue Lagoon
I met a couple of cars coming back, but the biggest problem was some idiot who had erected a tripod in the middle of the road and was taking pictures.

Journey Towards The Blue Lagoon
A couple of months ago I drove to the Blue Lagoon on the Akamas, as I wanted to fly my drone. Unfortunately, the heavens opened making drone flying impossible. Well, it is possible, but the camera gets blocked by rain. So the other day I returned, on a gloriously bright sunny day. The road was a lot...

Chloraka Coast Path Around Akti Beach
In this film we start at the new chapel that has been built on the Chloraka Coast Path, and glide up to the King Evelthon and Acti Beach Resorts. There is a tiny beach here that looks very intriguing, especially if you like snorkelling. Next to the beach you will also see an Outdoor Gym which is ver...

Paphos Harbour Walkway - The Movie
After previous rain checks I finally managed to have another walk along the Paphos Harbour Boardwalk to Lighthouse Beach, and a delicious BLT when I got there. The walkway has now been decorated with greenery and a new outdoor gym area has sprung up. Come with me as I enjoy the springtime scenery. h...

Luddites will be luddites. I am sure they would be annoyed if their telly service conked out.
Yes there was an outage, but it is ok now.

A Peaceful Blue Lagoon
Here is a rare bit of footage indeed! I managed to fly the drone along the Blue Lagoon coast and there wasn't a single boat in residence. Normally during peak times there is a veritable queue of maritime traffic, but when I filmed this, a few days ago, I had the entire area to myself, save for a few...

Re: Biometric Card - 2026
Has anyone noticed that since Brexit, our status as EU citizens is past? We have become 3rd world citizens. Thus every time one needs to go to a Govt office, procedures to upgrade any document have become more complicated? As I do sometimes want to travel to other EU countries its worth keeping up ...

They re-opened the Paphos Harbour Walkway some time ago, and we covered it at the time. However, they have continued work on the landscaping so we thought it about time we revisited the walk and had another BLT. Join us on a sunny Sunday stroll... Old Paphos From Above
It is hard coming up for a title for some of these films. I was originally going to call if "Muse Area From Above", but given that I also cover Kennedy Square, October 28 Square, Ivis Maliotou Park and the Old Town Market area, I had to adopt a more generic name. Still at least you now kno...

Cyprus in Picture - February 2024
We post a daily "Kalimera" picture to Facebook on a topical theme. I thought it would be nice to give them greater exposure, so have combined them into a monthly article. The pictures here are now viewable in their original Landscape glory. So take a look at a selection of pictures we feel...

Evretou Reservoir
Evretou Reservoir flooded what must have been a very pretty valley, complete with hillside village. However, in this case, the village had already been abandoned by its Turkish Cypriot inhabitants who fled to the North when Turkey invaded back in 1974. The mosque has been preserved though, thanks to...
