Re: Paphos Sea Front - What A Mess!
Dominic makes a good point about the rise in the amount of graffiti around Paphos. It really has gotten out of hand, though I've no idea what it says, I've seen swastikas sprayed on some walls. Someone told me it was football related, but I personally don't know. Having watched a number of drive aro...

Re: Jane McDonald in Cyprus
While I enjoyed seeing familiar places, the whole thing seemed to be overly manufactured. In fact, I've been told that, despite the narrative on the programme, she'd never actually met Chris Andre prior to the filming. Re meeting Chris Andre, im sure this happens on most tv shows No doubt, but why ...

I'd report it also.
If you don't then certainly nothing will happen to resolve the incident and as WHL says, things may get worse and more serious.

Re: Your horseless carriage tax.
Did it for the first time about two weeks ago. Asked me for the last three digits of my passport and then wouldn't accept. I asked the same question on here and someone very kindly solved my issue. From your log book look for line C9. There's a number ending /0. Enter the last three numbers BEFORE t...

Re: All you need to know to renew your road tax license
.............They said also it could be done online.... I usually do mine on the JCC website I've been trying to renew via JCC since yesterday morning, however, when I enter the VRM, the last three digits of my passport number and the renewal period, I get an error message which says that the VRM a...

Re: EAC
I recall seeing two men , who I presume to be Cypriot, having what I took to be a blazing row in the Lidl carpark. Voices were raised, arms were being waved around and pointed fingers were being thrust. I thought, this will turn to blows shortly. Within a few seconds they were smiling and patting ea...

Re: UKCA to close by Xmas
Reference the comments on cliques etc. I have a friend who owned in Cyprus until around five years ago, told me that he'd visited the UKCA a couple of times with a view to applying for membership, however, he was met by that type of attitude and decided against returning completely. This is exactly ...

I get what folk are saying about different attitudes towards food. But there are "the food snobs" of which my sister in law is one. I guarantee that if three identically prepared meals, all cooked by the same chef, were presented to her, one priced at £10, one at £15 and one at £20 she wo...

Re: Lucky us!
I bought a car last month and the first thing I did was fit a dashcam. While driving in Chlorakas I came to a cross roads, while waiting for cars to pass a young guy (probably one of the asylum seekers) on a push bike approached from my right and stopped about six feet short of the car, level with m...

Re: Kissonerga Coastline
My wife and I walked the coastal path from Alassos wedding venue to the harbour just 10 days ago. According to Google Earth a distance of approximately 5.25 miles, really enjoyed it and the ice cream and beer ( not in the same container) at the harbour was very welcome.
