Re: So...will the Remainers predictions come true?

Latest polls say that 70% of people are against a hard-Brexit - democracy anyone? Also, HAD the referendum been legal, rather than advisory, it would have been declared void due to illegalities. Since it was only advisory, the courts couldn't Take those steps. May treated it as legal, as does Boris...

Re: Geoffrey

I never agreed with his posts but respected his right to make them. And I chuckled at his belief of their verification. I'm sure he'll be sorting St Peter out and re positioning those gates. His posts were very entertaining despite most people including myself in disagreement with them. The forums o...

And rightly so.

Clunk Click Every Trip.

Now who was it who said that.

Clue, he was a good friend of Alastair Campbell.

Re: Epsom salts

I bought a kilo from a pharmacy on gasoline alley a year ago for less than €6. Where is "gasoline alley". I've never heard of it! Our local pharmacy charges €11.95. As Trev said, it's on the right heading from paps and just before the petrol stations. There is a small 4-5 space car...

Re: 3 months delivery, Amazon DE.

The trouble with DE (Amazon) post from Germany is that when it leaves Germany it doesn't necessary come directly to Cyprus unless it's expedited. The plane carrying your goods has several stops to make. That could be Italy, Malta, Greece, Romania, Croatia, Hungary, etc. etc. So it can easily take a ...

Re: Ryanair's New Baggage Allowance:

I'll be taking my annual flight with RA in a couple of weeks and have happily paid the €6 to avoid any hassle. The alternative was to book thru a rival carrier that would have included a wheelie bag but cost me €20+ more. I don't see what the problem is unless someone is trying to buck the system th...

Re: One off TV viewing

Have you changed your time zone to UK on your computer? Sometimes that makes a difference. My PC was on UK time last night, but I changed it to CY today and ITV still works! :? :? I'm logged in - does that make a difference?? 'Enable VPN' in settings is 'ON' :? You'll possibly have a cookie set in ...

Re: Turkish/Greek Warships Engage Off Cyprus

The way I see it Cyprus has pulled a blinder here with the cooperation with Israel. Turkey can't play the NATO card because all the US presidents and future presidential candidates relay on Israeli funding for their their political campaign. Therefore little Cyprus (backed by Israel) can take on the...

Plasterer Painter and Pigeon Pest Services.

I can highly recommend Darren Bone Plastering, Painting & Pigeon Pest Services. He has just completed a wide variety of plastering jobs for me that others shied (or is it shyed) away from. He's not afraid to get up a ladder and tackled a number of awkward tasks with a 'can do' attitude. Just get...

Re: Caustic Soda

If you can't get a 25kg bag and the small bottles work out too expensive the next best thing is a bag of soda ash which all pool shops have. I'd follow it up with 2-3 gallons of white wine vinegar poured in slowly and stand back.
