If you really want to blame somebody for me not caring about the England Football Kit, blame the likes of the BNP for hijacking the Flag of St George and inspiring generations of people to associate it with the far right.

Re: Nike - New England Strip.

I am amazed and saddened at some of the comments above. Dont get put off Firefly, i and many others of the silent majority are with you. My guess is that the true lovers of their country have kept quiet. This would imply that they don't actually love their country that much. I mean, if they can't b...

Around Paphos - Part 2 - Kato Paphos and Old Town

This is the first in a small series of films designed to help you navigate your way around Paphos in a car. In this film we start at Kings Avenue Mall and head towards the airport along the Dual Carriageway. We turn left at the roundabout up to the Stadium and Motorway Roundabouts. Here we turn left...

Kissonerga Coast Path From Above

The Coast Paths around Paphos have really been coming into their own over the past few years. One of our favourites can be found at Kissonerga, and runs from the cliffs down towards Potima Bay. Along the way it passes a number of resorts and little beaches. The best way to access it, if you are comi...

Re: Nike - New England Strip.

Saw this on Twitter: Sat in a coffee shop and noticed a little girl drawing the Union Jack in crayon. I pointed out she’d used maroon instead of traditional red so should probably start again. She mumbled something about not having another red so I kindly fished out my emergency Commemorative 1966 ‘...

Re: Nike - New England Strip.

The thing is, I spent the 70s and 80s telling myself that the thugs rampaging across Europe in the name of the England Football Team did not actually represent England, despite the fact that they covered themselves with the red and white cross. Consequently, I couldn't really care what colour cross ...

Re: Nike - New England Strip.

The thing I find funniest about this is that the people moaning the loudest always harp on about other people being snowflakes, but they are the ones being precious on this occasion. I honestly couldn't care either way as long as they win a bloody tournament at least once in my lifetime. I was born ...

The Park Of Colour in Spring

In Central Paphos behind the main Papantoniou's Supermarket you will find the Park of Colour. It is just above Kennedy Square, and not by the Sea Front. If you go looking for it there you have got the wrong Paps. Originally opened last year, I returned on Carnival Day to have a look around while I w...

Evretou Views

Evretou is an abandoned village on the banks of the Evretou Reservoir. When conditions are right, you can get some lovely reflection shots of the ruins in the calm waters. It is definitely worth taking a detour to have a look. Just be careful where you drive! Read the article and chat about it below...

Guided Tour of Paphos on Green Monday

Green Monday is a special day in Cyprus - a Bank Holiday where everybody goes out to the Countryside, has a bbq and flies kites. In this film we take you on a guided tour of Paphos from Agios Georgios to Geroskipou Beach, soaking up the atmosphere as we visit a number of landmarks along the way. We ...

Paphos Celebrates Green Monday

Today was Green Monday, and Cyprus was out having barbeques and flying kites. We drove the length of Southern Paphos to see what the locals were up to.

Paphos Carnival 2024 - Part 2

In the Second Part of our Carnival Film Coverage we use the 360 camera to record the procession. I then selected a fixed view to make a film that will be viewable on all devices. I will publish the full 360 version at a later date if people want the ability to control the camera for themselves. A no...

Paphos Carnival 2024 - Part 1

It's Carnival Day in Paphos! A great turnout meant that it was a noisy and vibrant affair. Spirits were high and the squeezy foam was plentiful. In the first film we show you a street-level view of the scene, as I walk the length of the Carnival Parade. In part 2 we will have an elevated view courte...
