Re: Holiday Home
We used Insure my Villa via Topquotes when we were renting out to tourists.
And be careful, most insurers have restrictions or caveats regarding how many days the property is empty ...

Re: Pool back wash and waste water
My backwash water goes into a large white plastic tank and is pumped from there up to smaller barrels more conveniently located for filling watering cans so I can readily water my potted plants, by which time any chlorine has long dissipated.

The solution is quite simple really, guys. Grow a beard. A bit of face fuzz will save you hours and some pennies over the course of a year.

Re: Private Health/ GESY
With respect Trev am more concerned with how quickly you could access GESY with a serious problem ie cancer Our Private Health Care is Inpatient only .... Outpatient cost was prohibitive with a small limit + excess.... I believe companies have to offer outpatient care, but in case it was an extra β¬...

Mine sits in the sun pretty much from sunrise to sunset. My friend's little 4 year old granddaughter uses it quite happily so it can only be warm to her touch, not hot.

We will give it a month or more before going out to eat , ..don't see the sense of wearing a mask going shopping, and not wearing one while sitting next to people,,,,,,,,,,, plenty of food at home, rather then looking over your shoulder, wondering if the people at the next table are safe or not, do...

Re: Bank of Cyprus - unknown payment
When my late husband and I had a Hellenic account for emergency use (opened after the BofC new accounting system fiasco), he used his card occasionally - and I didn't. His card was renewed automatically - and mine wasn't. We were told by a helpful bank assistant that this was because I hadn't used i...

Re: Sit Bone Pain
My late husband had a slightly different problem, but I suspect the solution may be the same. He fell and badly bruised his tail bone, which made sitting anything between uncomfortable and painful. The solution was to use a ring shaped pillow, so the painful area was effectively suspended rather tha...

Re: Bank of Cyprus - unknown payment
As far as I can recall, BofC have always charged their customers for the privilege of holding one of their debit cards. At least it is a fixed fee, described in their list of charges (available on line), unlike when I used to also have a village Co-op account - the card fee changed each year in acco...

Re: Bank transfer
As far as I am aware, you do not need to live in Cyprus to have a bank account here. If you don't have internet banking, are all your bank statements posted to your address in Isle of Man? Sorry I can't help with any information on the Pegeia branch of Hellenic. You could always phone the contact nu...

Re: Arnies Nature Trail
Lovely, thank you for that, Dominic. I have never done the whole walk, just the steep bit down to the drinking well, several years ago. That was too much for my knees, that I reckon are older than the rest of me! Well, they certainly act it, anyway! ππ If you had wandered around the outside of the c...
