Re: Broadband Providers
I "usually" spend 4-6 months pa at my place in Kato Paphos My BB provider is BlueNet based on Apostolou Pavlou Road ( same side as the Sun Centre/Cosmic Bowling ) but 200-300 metres further up the hill towards the old town Its a fairly simple, inexpensive process, after they have "set...

It sounds very much like a fiasco and more like the old "on the buses" with Reg Vardy

Re: Room for improvement but Cyprus on track to lower polluted air emissions
Am I missing something when we have a country blessed with an abundance of free god given sunshine, a country with plenty of idle land, with close ultra rich neighbours and "acquired mega rich citizens" who would certainly invest in massive solar farms and more wind farms in the Troodos to...

I guess that is a problem with having ultra-realistic PC flight simulators. People get good on that and think they have got it sussed. Damn and blast, the class of 2020 including myself have now been rumbled !!! I used the lockdown to fully hone my skills and only crashed twice Suppose I can now ta...

Re: communal pool
Thanks for the update, I didnt realise it was the opposite way !!! As I say, perhaps selfishly, as this does not effect me directly I naturally "assumed" it was EU legislation that was not being enforced rather than Cyprus refusing to change it's stance......can someone explain simply why ...

Would reporting the Supermarket in question to the relevant Authorities to deal with lead to be a better result for your future safety
Perhaps naming them, if matters are so bad, would be helpful for other members to consider when visiting

Re: communal pool
Strangely enough when I purchased in 1999 the guy from Aristo selling our block did say that whilst there wasn't a pool planned on site, we would have the benefit of lower management fees due to less maintenance etc and with with the beach being just 300 metres away a pool wasn't really necessary an...

Re: New iPad
About eighteen months ago, through the good offices of a member of this forum, I bought an “as new” iPad to replace the iPad 2 I had bought in 2011. I have been delighted with it and, being the dutiful husband I am, I passed my old iPad 2 to my wife. She was delighted and loved it. But over the mon...

Thanks to you all. My wife has, unfortunately, just discovered the Lakeland website and is busy on one of those “Oh, we could do with one of those, and have you seen ...” Take that as a bonus that you dont have to traipse around half of Cyprus to find one now although your card may have an alternat...

Re: Nereus Hotel not reopening..
Its a crying shame, the road was recently gaining a bit of popularity and some new venues ( the new place opposite Friends/Neil's Mr Woo and Namaste ) and now there will be Nereus, the Almond Tree and the old First and Last closed almost all together a block

NB> Not wishing to cast aspersions on the credibility of the OP I have trawled the internet and searched Nereus Hotel Paphos closing, closed, out of business and cannot find anything to say it is closed or closing permanently As an exercise I looked on TUI and could have booked a week in September 2...
