Re: Paphos: €12,000 stolen from car
Two things spring to mind here. Firstly, why draw cash from the bank rather than do an on-line transfer? Secondly, why leave the cash in the car, apparently in sight? Thirdly (maths is not my strong point,😀), having the cash withdrawal show up on his bank records does not prove the cash was stolen f...

The best way to lose weight permanently is to do the More or Less Diet, which is ... More exercise, especially weight bearing like walking for bone strength More water More fruit and veg Less fat, sugar and alcohol. And keep an eye on portion sizes. A portion of cheese is apparently about the size o...

Re: Burglaries!
That reminds me of many years ago when I was helping my hubby deliver manifestos. I came across one gate with a sign on it. It was a photo of an alsatian with the words "can you run 50 yards in less than 20 seconds? She can."

Thank you Max.
My favourite is the last one, showing the butterfly sipping from a lantana flower. That must have taken some patience - or was it a lucky shot?

Can't decide between the Mandria/Timi sea one, the Aphrodite's Rock one and the summer clouds.
All your photos are lovely, Max, but those are my favourites in today's offering.

Re: Net metering bills
I have just totalled my electricity bills for the past twelve months, and recalculated the same consumption based on the new figures shown in the invoices posted above. I actually paid a total of €193 whereas under the new system, I would have paid just under €221. However, although that is not a bi...

BUt I live in Polemi and rarely need to use the air con in summer.....
The new charging system is based on units consumed so by using my credit units in winter (which count as units consumed), as I have been doing, I may well be paying a lot more for heating than previously.

Re: Net metering bills
So from what PW in Polemi is saying, there is no point in being plugged into the grid with your solar panels? That is what I am worried about. Depending on how much EAC charge per unit consumed, this may well wipe out any financial benefits. I use most of my credit units for heating in the winter, ...

Re: Net metering bills
My guess is that it´s due to the fact that your credit will be reset to zero by the end of February. You can´t carry them over forever. This is why I used my aircon rather than the central heating for heating so as not to have too much of my credit units go to waste while having to pay for heating ...

Net metering bills
I have been having discussions on Facebook with a fellow net meterer. He has just received his latest bill and has been charged for units consumed, despite being in credit with units generated. He queried this with EAC and was told the government made the changes, they are merely implementing them. ...
