Re: UK PM

We will get Truss because the Tory party won't accept a new PM with the wrong colour skin.

Sunak is by far the better of the two, to lead.

Re: Name and Shame.

I find that virtually every restaurant in Cyprus has an excellent rating on Google regardless of the quality of their food or service, including some truly dire places. You haven't seen mine! If I have to give a negative review, I will always balance with any positives. Sometimes though, there aren...

Re: Name and Shame.

Businesses sign up to be listed on TripAdvisor so should be fully aware they are likely to receive good and bad reviews. Sadly though, there are unscrupulous businesses on there who ask people to post in their favour whilst bad mouthing others. TripAdvisor has no way of knowing if a particular perso...

Re: Well done Ladies!

It was an excellent match indeed. Although I do wonder what would have been the outcome if the high scoring German player hadn't been out due to injury... I don't follow football at all but if there are big matches such as yesterday we will go to a bar wherever in the world we are, to watch and take...

Re: UK PM

I've voted Labour for as long as I can remember and also a party member for several years. Unfortunately, I cannot get behind Starmer and unhappy with recent happenings so have cancelled my membership. I've been following The Good Law Project with interest and that's now where my previous membership...

Awake from 5am, a brew anytime between 7 to 7.30am. Catch up on emails, orders and web stats on my mobile followed by Twitter, news and Facebook. Breakfast can be anytime after 10.30am for me. Then it's to the laptop dealing with orders. Hubby has his afternoon "read" at around 3.30 to 5pm...

Re: Postcard From Ayia Napa and Protaras

The whole of the coastline on the east is quite rugged with lots of little coves. I spent many years visiting before we eventually moved to Cyprus and had my own information website and the domain name of Cyprus4Holidays. A bolt hole is what we would look for, but anywhere that isn't in the middle o...

Re: Postcard From Ayia Napa and Protaras

We've always much preferred the rugged coastline on the east coast and had we not needed to work when we moved over to Cyprus in March 2004, it would have been around Cape Greko rather than on the western outskirts of Limassol. I've stood on the point there over that natural rock bridge many years a...

Re: Paypal Scam

My Spam filters dump all this kind of rubbish in the relevant folder. The trials and tribulations of running a website and multiple online presence pages means you get seen as a target. The only time I see these posts now is when they're shared by people on social media. I just wish I could bash the...

Larnaca airport post office closed in June (no reason provided) and several small post offices have closed due to Covid.

There are updates given on the Home page of the Cyprus Post website.

Re: Paphos Sea-Front Gym

We've seen these small outdoor gyms along promenades and in plaza's during our trips to many different destinations in the Med. They're extremely popular. I would much prefer to use outdoor equipment and watch the world go by rather than facing a wall on a running machine in an indoor gym. It also e...

Re: Berengaria Hotel in Prodromos sold to Cypriot investor

One thing that struck us both when we went round it, was how small the pool was. Assuming when it was first built, pools were not the main concern but now they appear to be the mainstay of a holiday for the majority of people. I'm wondering just how much additional development will be undertaken by ...
