Re: Good News for Ex Pat Pensioners!

Quite frankly, I don't believe a single word that comes out of the mouths of this current government regarding Brexit. I do believe however that once we're out that's when they will really show their hand..... Of course by then, we will all be in that canoe up the shit creek minus any rowing implem...

Re: Re-cycling bins

In theory blue should be plastics only (or so I've always believed), brown's for paper/cardboard and metal goes in the usual bins outside your house as it's value is virtually nothing. (I notice though that some people put ordinary rubbish in them!)

Re: Cyprus prepares to ban cash dealings over €10,000

I assume that you would not be allowed to withdraw more than 10k in cash from your Bank? No, this ruling applies to individual cash transactions. You could make several withdrawals of €9,900. Frankly, there is no way can the government can stop PTP (person-to-person) transactions over €10k taking p...

Re: Cyprus prepares to ban cash dealings over €10,000

How will they enforce this? Mr A takes out of his bank say €20K and pays it to Mr B for services rendered. End of! Or am I missing something here? Tommy. I've always assumed that they have these sort of laws so that they can be applied if they catch people in the process of a shady deal. Then they ...
