Re: African Grey Parrot

You could try Paphiakos Animal Welfare in Paphos — I know they’ve got vets who see birds there. If not, maybe check with the Pet Stop in Peyia, they usually know who the bird specialists are in the area.

Re: Tala Square demolition plans.

The square is one of the nicest parts of the village and makes the whole area feel alive. Can’t understand why they’d want to turn it into a road after all that money and effort went into making it a safe place for people

Re: Money transfer

I’d still keep CurrencyFair as a backup, but lately I’ve been using Ria Money Transfer for smaller amounts, faster than waiting on a broker, and no £3k minimum like some of the others.

Definitely tricky at that age, but some providers do specialize. Worth hunting around

Re: Muse And The Old Town

This sounds like such a cool way to explore the city from a new perspective. Flying over landmarks like Muse, Kennedy Square, and Kings Avenue Mall will really showcase the vibe and layout of the area

Re: What a bunch of muppets

COVID-19 liability for businesses is more complicated than most people realize. It’s not just about exposure, it also covers wrongful terminations, contract breaches, and even predatory lending claims. Here’s a solid legal resource if you’re curious about how companies are fighting back: https://fed...

Re: Central And Kato Paphos In Anamorphic Splendour!

That lens really does Paphos justice, crazy how much more immersive it feels without the fisheye warping everything. It’s like watching the city breathe a bit more. Loved the loop down Bar Street too, it hits different seeing it framed like that. Almost makes you want to cruise it yourself just to f...

Re: Getting To Foinikas From Anarita

Foinikas always felt like one of those places you hear about but never quite manage to reach without a 4x4 and a prayer. Didn’t realize the water levels opened up a route from Anarita, that’s a game changer

Re: Orthodox Easter Sunday - effect on electricty

It’s kind of wild that we’re producing too much clean energy and just switching it off. Feels like such a waste, especially when storage isn’t really keeping up. Cyprus and Greece definitely need to level up the grid to handle this better, curtailing that much solar on a sunny holiday just ain’t it.

Re: Germany to legalize cannabis use for recreational purposes

Feels like more countries are starting to take cannabis regulation seriously instead of just brushing it off as a taboo topic. The shift toward legalising recreational use might also help open up proper medical access for people who actually need it for chronic issues. In the UK, things are still mo...

It's cool how an old almond tree can become a plum tree with a little help. Your landlord really knows his stuff.

I might know a couple of good options around Chlorakas. I used to work with a lady who did a great job, so I'll check if she's still around or if someone else can help.

I haven't had the surgery in Paphos, but if you're getting a mesh, it might be helpful to look into potential risks. The FDA has issued warnings about certain types of mesh – this law firm has more information on that.

Re: Using solar energy during periods of curtailment

it doesn't mean all your panels stop working entirely. It’s more like they’re allowed to produce only a certain amount, so you might still use some of that energy right away for things like cooking or ironing. However, most of your energy might be redirected to the grid. It really depends on your se...

Have you tried switching airplane mode on and off, or restarting her phone? Sometimes that helps. Also, check if roaming is enabled or ask her carrier for advice.
