Re: Vehicle fell into precipice in Akamas; passengers in hospital
Wantoosoon I get what you say about engine noise, actually a plus to covid is you can sit on your patio at night and not have to put up with orible noise coming from the bars and pubs and hotels. Don't get me wrong, I wish this guy hadn't died and that his daughter hadn't been badly injured, but dr...

Re: Man, 59, dies after buggy falls off cliff in Akamas (Updated)
On this map from the area one can see that only a few dangerous spots are there where the road is close on the brink of the cliff and could be easy secured... https://up.picr.de/41803981mt.jpg Max It's not only a few spots. ALL of it is dangerous to buggy/quad drivers as the cliffs are steep and th...

Re: Vehicle fell into precipice in Akamas; passengers in hospital
They don't belong in a nature reserve and should be banned. Motor vehicle access there should be heavily restricted in general. The quads, buggies and motorbikes make it impossible to enjoy cycling or walking in the area, and as this news shows, the current situation isn't safe. I'm surprised there ...

Go to www.eudcc.gov.cy and input your details. You will then be able to download or print a PDF of your pass.
When you've done that, you can use the official government apps to display it:

Re: Reducing speed limit
Lots of little speed bumps will defo slow people down. They are a pain to keep riding over. Also lower the speed limit and police it. In my small car, I have to slow to about 20 kph to get safely over the bigger ones in my nearest town. People in pick-ups and 4WD vehicles, however, breeze over them...

Re: Covpass … Green Pass … app … wallet … SafePass …
There's a government 'CovPass' app on the way which is designed for domestic use. It's been just around the corner for a while though.

Re: CovPass mobile app coming soon
Is this app also going to suffice for EU travel or is Cyprus producing two apps? I'm getting confused... It’s my understanding that there will be one app, called CovPass. The digital version that you may have already read about is simply a file that can be downloaded from the EU website, there’s a ...

Will they accept a photo of the vaccination card or a PDF of the EU Green Pass? The card doesn't fit in my wallet and I don't want it to become worn.

Worse than the Mari explosion? That killed 13 people, destroyed Cyprus's main power station and caused $5bn of damage.

Re: Air Con setting
If it's a particularly hot day, I'll put mine on for an hour in the evening at 23 degrees to suck the day's heat out of the place. I turn it off before going to bed. I don't like being too dependent on it. Aircon makes life much harder when you get outside!

Re: Parking fines
I thought the police here didn't enforce parking offences, only traffic wardens? There was an outcry some months ago when it was revealed that some areas didn't have any parking wardens, so parking offences were never penalised.
