Re: Man charged with stealing three cows in Paphos

Apparently the farmer intended on setting up an all night observation but gave up because it was Friesian.

Re: Do children need to be tested?

Got my answer at a pharmacy.

While there may be a test on arrival at the airport, only older children require to undergo testing.

Do children need to be tested?

Hi, looking for some help. I was speaking to a friend last night who has her 12 yr old grandson visiting from the UK. She says he had to be tested every three days during his visit. Is this the case and do you have to pay for children to be tested as they do not qualify for the vaccine. I ask becaus...

Re: Speed limiters law as from 2022 !

This is not the first time that somebody has come up with the idea of speed control. It has been shown to increase the number of accidents simply because drivers cannot accelerate out of a tight situation that they have found themselves in, often through no fault of their own. Agree with the above,...

Me too, but it was they who quoted the £360.
I've checked again and it's gone down to £246 for the same week, but still feel that's quite expensive, maybe i've been spoiled.

Re: car rental UK

Car hire definitely far more expensive this year.
I looked at a Picanto for the last week of September and was quoted £360.
I've played less than that for three weeks with the same company in the past.

Re: UK CSPs to bring Roaming Charges back in. Vodafone and EE

Applies to new or upgraded contracts from 11 August. If your existing contract includes free roaming, nothing changes - or that's my understanding of what I read on their website today. Yeah, that's my reading of it as well, timing was just right for me as I was coming to the end of my contract at ...

Re: UK CSPs to bring Roaming Charges back in. Vodafone and EE

I'm also with Vodafone, my contract was just about up, got onto them and renewed for another two years which means I avoid the roaming charges for that period, and saved £7/£8 per month and got 10gb of free data.

Happy Days.

Maybe worth getting onto them.

I once attended an incident aboard a double decker bus where the women folk of two rival families had had "words" with each other during the journey home. One of them ended up being arrested for assaulting the other with a French Loaf. 🤣 Did you arrest her for assault and baguettery :shoc...

Re: Seafront Update

What is it they're doing to the bus station, is it an upgrade or are they going to use it for something else?

A friend told me, about 5 years ago, that the bus station was going to be dug up because they'd found more historical ruins.
But the big concrete pipes don't seem to fit with that.

Re: Local Information for Polemi

Been to the Olive Tree many times and find it worth the drive up from Kato Paphos.

Huge steaks and pork chops all cooked on the barbeque. If I recall correctly, they also do carry out meals.
