Re: Interruption of 5-yr temporary residency because of Covid (away longer than 90 days)
I emailed Immigration direct after being delayed in the UK for 8 months due to surgery. I had a reply within the hour telling me to print and carry with me any evidence for the delay. I have been back to Cyprus 3 times since and had no issues entering or leaving. With an MEU1, he would be entitled t...

Re: Latchi harbour web cam.
When I get round to it I will find a business who wants a bit of free publicity and has a nice high view of Latsi harbour. Then I can install my own one. Dominic, perhaps you could try the new bar/restaurant that is currently being constructed at the eastern end of the Marina. It is being developed...

Re: More Requirements for Temporary Residence
This is the first I have heard about the MEU1/3 becoming obsolete, and people 'HAVING' to apply for a different card.. From reading on the forums and the internet it is difficult to get an appointment now. Goodness knows what it will be like when we all HAVE to change to a new card. Searching the I...

In my view, it is probably best to stay out of both American and Cypriot politics.

Am intrigued to know why President Anastasiadis is attending a NATO meeting and chatting to Erdogan when he is not a member of NATO.

The festival was really good. Apparently the best attended in its 7th appearance. Loads of free food and a great atmosphere.

Very sad news. As an aside, his Mother invented Tippex and sold the Company to Gillette in the 70's but sadly died a few months later.

Re: Coronavirus: Concerns over Omicron trigger more travel curbs, UK detects cases (Update 3)
Did the test on November 20th and still waiting for the confirmation certificate that the result was negative. Exactly the kind of scenario I envisage, with perhaps 100,000 people a day requiring a PCR test from this point on. Once they have your money they don't care. I was required to do a postal...

Due to having a heart attack about a month ago, I was called to the GH in Paphos for a consultation with the cardiologist on Monday morning. All seems to be well with the results of the first op and now I wait for the second in late January. I am told that this is due to the machinery needed for the...

Re: Keep your head down!
Last night whilst sat outside looking over Polis, I noticed an aircraft heading towards, say the Blue Lagoon. As it appeared to approach the Akamas there was the sound of a jet and it did a complete about turn and headed back towards Turkey. As it headed back, there appeared to be two jets circling ...

Completely ignoring the reported global increase in food prices this year. As for empty shelves in supermarkets, look in Alpha Mega, Phillipos and even Jumbo, loads of empty shelves. What can possibly cause that in the paradise that is the EU!
