Re: PM to address the nation at 6pm (UK time)
Toner Yes he's guilty of crass timing and poor political judgement but his negotiations opened the way to peace. No one in their right mind would support terrorism. Jim I am sorry Jim, but no he didn’t open the way to peace, at best he stuck his nose in...did you read the link I posted ?even his ow...

Re: Geroskipou Bypass
I am not suggesting it is not a good idea, it is, but to suggest it is a bypass is misleading, and actually, driving through Yeroskipou is never a chore, I actually quite enjoy it. Now an alternate route from the Harbour up to the Old Town would be a real bonus, although probably just a pipe dream!...

Re: PM to address the nation at 6pm (UK time)
Earlsfield said “. I wouldn’t class those that voted to remain as Collaborators or Traitors, obstructive yes, and they have contributed directly to the failure of talks to date” So, you’re not allowed to vote remain then, or follow your principles? The reality is no agreement can be reached and mor...

Re: My first week driving electric SUV
Doesn't relate to Cyprus though, especially if you recharge via solar power. I would suggest only if you recharge by solar power, and in Max’s case a “Home PV” system, which is great if you have the facility, but many of us living in apartments in complexes simply do not have the ability. Most of t...

Re: PM to address the nation at 6pm (UK time)
You seem to throw he word “hatred” around quite a lot, perhaps it is in your nature. Opinions are normally formed from a number of sources and I would suggest most of us are pretty open minded when forming those opinions, relying on single sources is not a good idea, you should try it. In Corbyns ca...

Re: Geroskipou Bypass
It’s really just an easy way to get onto the industrial estate, which in itself is good for me, I usually leave my car in The Peugeot garage for servicing. And it’s a long way around back to Kato Paphos, now I will be able to take a short cut across the ravine, which at the moment is impassable. It’...

I think if they had to vote for anyone surely it would be the Lib Dem’s? The only party with the stated aim of stopping Brexit.

Re: Does anybody actually want the Brexit date delayed?
I suppose it depends on the appetite of Parliament to accept what would inevitably be an extremely tight result because of the 3 options on the table, and I am afraid if it was remain, which not only goes against the referendum but also reneges against the triggering of Article 50, where the vast ma...

Re: PM to address the nation at 6pm (UK time)
Now you see, I class myself right of centre and I consider the far left as dangerous and radicalised as the far right, and yes I would be extremely unhappy with a socialist government because they would do as they have always done, bring ruin on the country. And with the current leadership of the La...

Re: PM to address the nation at 6pm (UK time)
Jim, You are right, there are two sides to every coin and I think you have been as seduced by the left wing media as you accuse others of being influenced by the right. No one has instilled any sense of hatred into me but your words are truly indicative of the views of organisations such as momentum...

Re: PM to address the nation at 6pm (UK time)
Corbyn and integrity? You are of course making that up? And sycophants! Have you looked at the Labour shadow cabinet? I am not a fan of a no deal solution but taking the option away, ties the hands of the negotiators and gives the upper hand to the EU. What is needed in consensus, which given the s...

There is already a bypass, from Kato Paphos past the hotels and onto the airport road. Although a bridge over the ravine to the Peugeot Garage be useful!

Re: My first week driving electric SUV
Let’s be honest, it’s 2 Ltr SUV with a very limited hybrid capability designed to save a few pennies rather than the environment. I do think it’s the way to go because unless you are a “Urban” driver who does short hop journeys around town then electric cars are just not practical. And as it has bee...

Re: PM to address the nation at 6pm (UK time)
Come on Jim, All that a Corbyn and his cronies have been “demanding” is a GE, so go for it, clear the decks and get that mandate from the people! The man and his party are simply not fit for high power, you think Brexit is disastrous, a Labour Government would simply destroy the UK.
