Re: The Forum Agenda

Keep doing what you are doing Dominic. You have all the stats and can see how much the forum is used.

As to the banned ones, and I seem to have missed the excitement, remember there is one in every village.

Re: license for street trading (news)

You obviously believe you have identified a gap in the market. However, currently this perceived gap is filled by kiosks. They sell all the suggested items you have listed at a reasonable price, often over a 24 hour period. I strongly suggest you work out the costings, assuming you haven't already, ...

Adding a mixer and/or ice reduces the proof by volume but not the alcoholic content. So it will be smoother when drunk, but with the same buzz.

Re: THE NEW MAP OF PAPHOS LOCAL GOVERNMENT FROM 1 JULY

The communities (villages) in Paphos district will be brought together into clusters (groups). I am in the 8th cluster consisting of Chloraka, Lemba and Emba. The idea, as I see it, is to achieve some economies of scale, for example in terms of joint refuse collection. What isn't clear is the effect...

I recommend Tony in Lemba. Just along from Lemba bazar. He is on 99542099. Very professional and provides top quality shutters, unlike some developers I could mention.

Re: Sklavenitis expands to 27 stores with Papantoniou deal

In my opinion, Paps is the better of the two in terms of range of items and level of customer service. It would be a shame if this were to change.

2023 tax return.

I'm not sure if we should submit our tax returns for 2023 through the Tax Portal or Taxisnet. I know it is supposed to be changing but not sure when.
Does anyone know, and has anybody found the 2023 tax return form? I can't see it on the system.

Re: Revolut

I use my Revolut account for online purchases and international transfers. The cost of transfers is very reasonable and can be made to most countries. I keep three currencies in the account and the cost of exchange between them is also very reasonable. I charge up my account with transfers from Hell...

A great visionary and exactly what Paphos needed. The interview certainly presents him as someone with a vision and woe betide anyone who tries to divert his course. I hope he gets in again.

Re: Expat Brits fear pensions loss

This change isn't necessarily a bad thing, so have a serious think about your own circumstances. A friend of mine receives a UK police pension from her deceased husband, together with a UK state pension. Prior to the change she is taxed on both in Cyprus, and actually paid tax. The change means the ...

My wife just rang me to say it looks a bit chaotic with people not knowing where to go. I think a few days notice may have been sensible, as people will still be heading to the temporary station.

Re: British in bad books!

Although the Sovereign bases are on the island of Cyprus, they are not within the territory of the Republic of Cyprus. They are a British Overseas Territory, as are the Falkland Islands for example. They are not involved in the UN peacekeeping mission or have a role in the rest of the island. You ca...

Oh my, the flood gates would open. 'That's my mummy', takes on a whole new meaning :o Just as a matter of interest, Josef, how would you address it, or think that it should be addressed? I accept that the return of the marbles may well set a precedent. Whether that results in flood gates opening is...
