Re: The virus,Cypriot figures/

You won't find Cypriot figures on the BBC. You are more likely to find them on Cypriot TV, Radio, web pages and newspapers.

Re: Can anybody translate these?

I understand I must complete form B whenever I need to go to the supermarket, pharmacy etc. What isn't clear is what we do with it when completed. Do we hold onto it? if so, then we don't need further permission to leave the house, whereas if we send a text message we do.

Have to say, the Cypriots have taken this all in their stride.
The Cypriots have had to deal with worse than this in the past. They are made of tough stuff.

Re: Citizens advice....On Strike?

Um, Citizens Advice is a UK charity. What you are referring to are Citizens Service Centres, part of a Cyprus government department.

Just saying.

I fully agree Les.

Cyprus needs to kick these stupid old men out before they infect great swathes of the population.

Re: Coronavirus: Health Ministry issues additional instructions for passengers

So all the tourists coming from the UK have to self isolate for 14 days once they arrive? Given that most of them only come for 14 days I can see most of them will cancel. I hope the government is prepared for an over 50% loss to the tourist industry.

I would have thought the High Commission would have been the body to provide support to British residents. Apparently not.

Re: ‘The Park of Colours’ coming to Paphos

According to the map that the mayor issued on Facebook, it is currently the large wasteland behind Paps in the old town. A revamp of that area is long overdue.

Re: Charles and Camilla to visit Cyprus next month

Josef, i spend a lot of time in America and on almost every occasion when I meet some one new,the subject we seem to get on to is the royal family ( and the Beatles of course ).They say how proud we must be of our royalty and wish they had one of their own..If I mentioned (and I certainly would not...

Re: Charles and Camilla to visit Cyprus next month

The estimated total annual cost of the monarchy is £345m per annum. As to the "countless millions" mentioned by Chaddy above, I assume this is thought to be due to the tourism they generate. The claim that the royal family are good for tourism is untrue. Even VisitBritain, the national tourist agenc...

Re: Debenhams

Back to the subject. The word is that Debenhams in Paphos will be renamed ERA and will be much like it is now in terms of categories of stock. However the Debenhams branding and associated brands (e.g. Red Herring) will not be stocked, being replaced with more mainstream brands. Some are already in ...

Re: Charles and Camilla to visit Cyprus next month

A waste of public money, both in the UK and Cyprus. The visit is to mark the anniversary of independence from Britain but I note the Turkish Cypriots will be ignored as usual. I seem to recall that the whole of Cyprus gained independence from Britain, not just the south.

I think the citizens service centre can issue a duplicate. You might have to swear an affidavit at the court though. Not a difficult process.

Business cards

Does anyone have a recommendation for printers in Paphos who design and print business cards? I see 4 companies in the directory, but am seeking recommendations rather than just names.

Re: Paphos: Online petition launched against destruction of environment

I drove past the small park in question today. The tree removal work seems to be completed and the ground smoothed over. There are still lots of trees there and all seem to be trees that are appropriate to Cyprus. The palm trees etc are gone, to be replaced with more trees than have been taken away,...
