No, it's the Asmina Suites, further along between Aquamare and Pioneer.

Although people are saying this is in Paphos, the spot in question is actually in Geroskipou, not within Paphos municipality area.

Re: Fixed airport taxi fares from March 1
The airport taxis will just refuse to use these charges and carry on charging whatever they want. To believe otherwise is just plain daft.

Re: Extra charge to receive money from a UK bank account?
Transferwise is the way to go. This from their website: "The only change is behind the scenes. Starting 14 December 2020, we’ll serve customers in the European Economic Area (EEA) from our new office in Brussels. We’ll be licensed and regulated by the National Bank of Belgium." I have my occupationa...

Warning - fraudulent phone calls
Beware folks. Mrs k received a call on her mobile yesterday claiming her ATM card was nearly expired. Luckily Mrs k is aware of fraud calls and hung up immediately. On checking her cards it was clear none were anywhere near their expiry date. The key thing is that she thought the call was from Nicos...

Re: Recommendations where to buy white goods
I always use CMC who provide excellent service. We bought a washing machine from them which had Greek controls. The installer spent time with my wife explaining what each one meant.

Re: Brexit: Residence Rights and Residence Documents
The withdrawal agreement is separate from the trade negotiations that are currently ongoing. The Cyprus government has confirmed via social and printed media that they will be following that which was agreed in the withdrawal agreement in its entirety.

Re: Right To Remain After Transition
It will be quite possible for people to "hide" in Cyprus after 31 December. However, it would only take a car accident or random traffic stop by the police, a need for uninsured health care, or an essential visit to the UK (e.g wedding, funeral) for it all to come tumbling down.

Re: Internet/ mobile phone recommendations or advice
I suggest you change to a Cyprus sim. I am with Epic and find them very good. Don't go on a contract unless you have a good reason. I have a Pay As You Go and must spend anything up to 20 euros a year. What with Messenger, WhatsAp, Viber and the like, there is rarely a need to make a chargeable call...

Re: Appointment for MEU 3
Immigration update. We visited immigration today, having an appointment to get my better half her MEU3. The procedure was to go upstairs, knock on the outer door of the office. When opened, ask for a number, which was handed over. Then go back outside and wait for the number to be called (shouted fr...

Re: Appointment for MEU 3
All the MEU documents refer to the holders status as being an EU citizen, or a family member of one. After 31 December we will be treated as non-EU citizens and so the MEUs won't apply to us. Therefore we will have to get the replacements as mentioned above. It won't be optional.

Re: Appointment for MEU 3
The people at the airport definitely do check residency status when you arrive. My wife is not an EU citizen, and therefore has an MEU2a, and it is clear from their questioning that they have her full immigration record on the screen in front of them. It is obvious that, once we are in 2021, they wi...

Re: Appointment for MEU 3
People often say they are the same thing, but they are not. A MEU1 lapses if you are out of Cyprus for 6 months. A MEU3 doesn't lapse until an absence of 5 years. Certain government subsidies are only available to MEU3 holders. You can be expelled from Cyprus fairly easily if you have a MEU1, wherea...

Re: Anyone using Transferwise?
I use Transferwise. I have a pension paid into it and transfer money into Hellenic as and when. I also use their mastercard when necessary. I find them to be inexpensive, quick, and reliable. A benefit is holding a number of currencies in one account, which I use from time to time. Highly recommended.

I don't understand why people are completing tax forms if their income is below the tax limit. There is no obligation to this year.
