Does anyone know what will happen to the hotel. I assume it will be redeveloped?
And while I think about it, what about the eyesore at the Tomb of the Kings?

Airport Expansion
They really should extend the new road to the airport! It makes no sense to use the current dark single carriageway B6 and then 4k extra on the airport road. https://cyprus-mail.com/2024/12/17/larnaca-and-paphos-airports-set-for-major-upgrades?utm_term=Autofeed&utm_medium=Social&utm_source=F...

Re: Immovable Property Tax
I’ve been to the finance department a few times and we’ve our full title deeds since 2010 but we’ve never been asked to pay a town tax to Peyia - just the refuse and water charges via direct debit.
For info, the IPT was 76 euros for both of us per annum until it was abolished and refunded.

This tax was abolished in 2017 and we received 2 cheques for 400 euro for the amounts we had previously paid.

Permanent Residency Health Insurance
To those members who took out immigration insurance for the purpose of gaining permanent residency, I am wondering if you have renewed? We are back and fore, rather than living on the island and have comprehensive travel insurance.
I believe we can’t be members of both Gesy and the NHS.
Many thanks

Re: no water in peyia
It’s very frustrating. We’ve been here 5 days, 3 without water and the lack of response from the municipality is unacceptable.

Re: Coral Bay Strip Opened By President!
Thanks Dominic. Great to see so much investment in Peyia. We’ve owned a villa here since 2006 and it’s never looked better. I wonder what’s next? Perhaps the Marina?

Hi
Just wondering if anyone has recommendations for a 4+ star hotel near the marina for the night before - Saturday 13th. Thanks.

Re: MUKW3 and Driving Licence Question
Kili01 - I also agree. As someone who is back and fore to Cyprus, it makes sense for me to use an agent. Otherwise, I’d spend valuable time sorting out issues. The MUKW3 took only 3 months with an agent and 15 minutes in the immigration office. Gwenny also sorted out our car import a few years ago f...

Re: MUKW3 and Driving Licence Question
It turns out that the requirement to swap a UK licence to a Cypriot licence isn’t currently being enforced for permanent residents. The advice I have now is that I should keep my UK licence unless I live in Cyprus full time or are asked to do so my the police….. so a trip to the transport office is ...

Peyia Hand Made Pot Man
Hi
Does anyone know how I can find the man who drives around Peyia in the summer announcing over a loud speaker ‘hand made pots’. They are great quality and much cheaper than garden centres.

MUKW3 and Driving Licence Question
My permanent residency was granted in September last year and I received my card in November. I understand that I now need to swap my UK driving licence for a CYP licence. Has anyone gone through this process or can anyone help me understand the process and deadline.
Kind regards
Jon

Re: Passport Stamp & MEU3
From the UK Gov website We strongly recommend that you request the MUKW residence document. While MEU documents remain valid until their expiry date, the MUKW residence document shows that you have the rights defined in the Withdrawal Agreement. The biometric card is more durable and it will simplif...

Investment at last. Hopefully the Thalassa and Ascos will be next and they will start the pedestrianisation of the strip too. That then just leaves the Marina

Yes it is. The 90 day rule still applies to Schengen countries as you are a third country rather than EU national.

Worth noting that this road includes some of the very best places for sundowner drinks - Porto Antico, Oniro, Sentiero, Sea Caves, Bar at Cap St George, etc.

MUKW/Cyprus Driving Licence
Hi Everyone We started our permanent residency process in July, received an interview last week and now have our MUKW residency numbers. Just waiting for the laminated cards. Aside from the amount of information we were required to supply it was a straightforward process. Next step is to swap our UK...

Re: The Last Castle / Viklari
Yes, it’s open. Coming from Peyia, turn right at Fusion/Namos and keep on that road all the way to the little white church. Keep going past the white church (with the church now on your left). At the T junction turn right and keep on that road. Eventually you come out at the entrance to Avakas Gorge...
