The President of the Republic of Cyprus is due to officially open Coral Bay Strip on May 25th at 10AM. Prior to that, I popped down to have a look to see how the work was progressing. This film was recorded on the morning of the 23rd.

From Paphos to Coral Bay
In this film we start at Lighthouse Beach and drive up to Coral Bay. Along the way we list all the hotels we pass, and there are quite a few. This isn't a definitive guide. We shall wait for the Strip to re-open before we do that. However, if you want to know what your options are between Paphos and...

Corallia Beach in May
Ah Corallia Beach. In a fight between this and its neighbour, Coral Bay Beach, who do you think would win? Both have their supporters, and both are lovely places to go for a swim and a spot of sunbathing. Mind you, Corallia Beach does have a nice little harbour next to it. Honestly though, you are s...

Old Town Market To Get Shade
Up until a few years ago the Municipal Market in Old Town was covered. The roof was removed some time ago, but today the Mayor Phedon Phedonos announced that they are planning on adding shade.

Lara Bay to Avakas Gorge
This film continues from our recent drive from Ineia to Lara Bay. Now we are heading back to civilisation via the main coast track from the bay to Agios Georgios. Since filming this, they have reopened the road around White River Bay, so the latter part became redundant. Hence, the film now finishes...

Coral Bay Beach In May
The sun certainly had its hat on when I sent the drone buzzing around Coral Bay early on Sunday Morning. There are a couple of brave swimmers but it is still a bit too chilly for me. It is certainly warm enough to get a nice tan though, if you are into sun worshipping. For more information on the be...

Re: NordVPN
Out of curiosity why do you want to use a VPN to access your banking app? You may find that the banking app doesn't like being used with a VPN. Most people use VPNs to view location-specific content (ie you must be in a specific country) or to mask the fact that they are using a service (eg torrents...

Coral Bay Strip Renovations - May 19th 2024 Drone Flight
It's been a week since we had our site visit, so this morning I went down to see what progress had been made in the interim. The vast majority of the road seems to be finished now. The workers appeared to be finishing the tiles by brushing cement dust between them. That's what it looked like to me a...

A Walking Tour Of Vretsia - Paphos, Cyprus
Vretsia is an abandoned village at the top end of the Xeros River. If you are going on a jeep safari through Paphos Forest you will no doubt travel through here along your way to the Venetian Bridges. It is a beautiful place tinged with sadness. Cyprus has more than it's fair share of abandoned vill...

Getting to Viklari Last Castle in 360!
This is the 360 version of the film we published a few days ago. It was recently announced that the old route to Last Castle (and Avakas Gorge) had re-opened. So we went for a drive to see if the claims were true. They were. In this extended 360 version of our previous film with commentary, we start...

Latsi Harbour And Beach - May 2024
Latsi, on the North Coast of Paphos, is one of the region's hidden gems. Indeed, the same could be said for the entire North Coast of Paphos. In this film we fly the drone over the harbour before gliding past the beach. From here you can get numerous boat tours, or just take a seat at one of the ama...

Paphos - Universal Area
Universal is a residential area, sandwiched between Kato and Central Paphos. Comprising of apartments and complexes it provides a convenient location for anybody seeking easy access to city amenities, while remaining just outside the main tourist strip. When we first moved to Cyprus, we rented an ap...

A Drive Around Paphos
In this film we take a nice quiet drive through a big chunk of Paphos City. We start up at the Post Office Roundabout, then head down Butcher Boy Road. We turn left at the Immigration Centre, then cross the B7 into Old Town. We take a slightly unusual trip from there to Kings Avenue Mall. Along the ...

Re: Google email problem
Ok, I have just done some tests. It seems that gmail and yahoo are now requiring a security feature that is not yet implemented by everywhere. The setting in question is DMARC. I have no idea what that is yet, but will investigate as it looks fairly widespread. You can check hotmail here: https://mx...

Re: Google email problem
Basically, the person sending you the books has been identified as a spammer, and your mail host is rejecting their emails.
Whether they are a spammer or not I couldn't tell you. Is this a legit service? If not, then this is hardly surprising.
