This piece weighs 5.5 kg, I used a hammer drill and generator to get
the crystals out of an huge block of copper ore 2x1 meter big. After
2 hours of work I got it...

The pit was always open for the public, no signs no entry, no fence.
and it was many years back.
OK it is a long trip from Paphos as you drive 4 hours one way. Further
it had to be in dry conditions in Summer otherwise you cannot enter.
Also I recommend to wear protective clothes and a mask as there is
sulfur-containing air when is getting hot. Adventure...!! but I liked it a lot.

I remember my father bringing a large piece home when we lived in Nicosia in the late 50's (he was in the Army and stationed here) and he had myself and my brother and sister believing it was gold! I have found crystals fascinating ever since.
