It's coming to that time again when our wooden fences need rubbing down and re-painting. For some years we have been using Orinos Classic, which is fine but it's not a matt or satin finish which we prefer and it doesn't come in mahogany.
Can anyone recommend something suitable that has good cover in a lasting finish in mahogany. There are a lot of choices around but we'd rather have the benefit of someone's personal experience.
Thanks in advance

If you ask in the shop maybe he could colour a clear one or adjust the teak to get the desired effect, when they stopped producing the conifer shade they would mix it for me

My experience of staining wood fences at my home is that the more coats you apply the darker the finish becomes. My first choice has always been Teak but the panels are now much darker after repeated maintenance. I certainly would not use a Varnish for fence panels preferring a Stain and Satin finish. The Varnish is more likely to flake off in time.
