Re: Trump Interview
I wasted my time reading this article, written by a would-be megalomaniac about the world's leading megalomaniac. It says absolutely nothing, except I liked the menu of the day.

Happy in Cyprus wrote: ↑Sun Jul 15, 2018 12:01 pm Front page story in today's ST about how most of the Royal Family refused to meet him, or play golf with him (Prince Andrew). The Queen of course had to stick to protocol, but gave him the minimum in terms of her time.
An absolutely despicable human being; just hope a small flavour of the protests got through to him.
Despicable human being It all depends on where you get your news info from. The BBC? The Guardian? then of course he will be a "despicable human being" Get your info from AON or some other news outlets and he,s a hero Or have you met him personally, then you can form your own opinion instead of accepting what someone else write,s or says about him.
Re: Trump Interview
Happy in Cyprus, you say "most of us have seen enough and read enough" with respect it all depends where you have seen and read it..
Have you "seen and or read" about the largest demonstration which which took place in London yesterday? Of course you have,nt because where ever you get your info from will not print or broadcast it so you are not fully aware of what is ALL going on.
It always amazes me how people believe it if they have read it or seen it on the media.Be it left or right.

Re: Trump Interview
What I cannot understand is why there were no protests against Erdogan or the Saudi guy when they had state visits? Lefties organising the protests and why aint they at work on a Friday afternoon?
Re: Trump Interview
He (Trump) just comes across as a puppy that has not yet been house trained, pi**ing all over the place with his tweets etc.
Re: Trump Interview
If the UK ever gets seriously threatened by an enemy we can always rely on that "puppy that has not yet been house trained" to come to our rescue and save us.
Re: Trump Interview
We in the UK have always been hypocrites when it comes to choosing sides - mostly driven by money.
We court the Saudis and forgive their interference in arming Daesh, or bombing other countries, because they pay the price (Billions in arms sales per annum)
We invade Iraq because they don't pay the price.
We should protest against our involvement with many world 'leaders' who are wined and dined in the UK. We have always been poor in evaluating personalities (or perhaps not....)
As mentioned in another thread, Margaret Thatcher held Pinochet as a personal friend, despite him being known as a despot. She branded Mandela a terrorist and refused to meet or support their struggle against apartheid.
Most leaders in the UK have similar tarnished judgements.

Who was the first to back the UK by expelling Russian diplomats after the alleged poisoning incident in SalisburyHappy in Cyprus wrote: ↑Tue Jul 17, 2018 1:29 am
...or after yesterday's debacle in Helsinki yesterday, perhaps not.
Even senior Republicans are calling his utterances treasonous. He appears to trust everything which Putin tells him, refuses to take up May's Novichok issue with Putin...and supports Putin and Russia against his own FBI.
Just when you think Trump can't get any worse...he does! The West can no longer rely on him.
Yet Chaddy believes the sun shine out of his rear end
Re: Trump Interview
So, Chaddy..............can you tell us what first attracted you to the draft dodging, multiple bankrupt, adulterous, pussy grabber in chief?
I would genuinely like to know.

Ok,tlr what you say may be true BUT BUT,,After all he is the democratically elected leader of the free world (unless the Americans don't know what they are doing.)
He is our strongest ally who would come to our defence in a heartbeat (note the alleged Salisbury poisenings)
He is not scared to death of, and ruled by political correctness.
On the American front unemployment is down to 3.9% the lowest since 2000.
Jobless claims are at a 28 year loan.
There have been600,000 jobs created since January.
The US stock markets are at an all time high.
Oh and he works for nowt as he returns his paycheck….Not bad for a "despicable human being" who is a "draft dodging, muliple bankrupt, adulterous, pussy grabber

Can we? Can we rely on whether that puppy will not get us into a situation where, as a side show, we will be threatened by an enemy?
