I’ve got one with 3 burners & basically you should cook with the hood closed most of the time otherwise you lose too much heat! But you need to turn the gas regulators down accordingly otherwise you will burn whatever you are cooking, and use the high rack for slow cooking and finishing off whilst other things are still cooking.
You can cook anything on these bbq’s but obviously, delicate things like fish, etc need careful watching and are best done in one of the special wire racks!
Trial and error is the best way!

Outback BBQ
Re: Outback BBQ
It is a BBQ Lincoln pile the meat on in the lovely sunshine. Start off on a low light then crank it up to brown it off. It is a fire mate you can cook out on it. Just make sure it is low first to cook it in the middle. A good idea is to purchase meats then marinade it in the sauce you like. Don't be ripped off by buying meat all ready marinated. If you do sheftailia keep it away from out that will burn and don't go nuts if it it goes up in flames that is how they cook. Enjoy and hope this helps. Have a lovely evening Lincoln.

I think loydd should step in with his set up. What a BBQ area he has and must be the best man for advice. I'm just a novice. Cooked since Friday all our meals on the BBQ in the UK.

Re: Outback BBQ
Lincoln's asking about a specific bbq. Outback is a brand. He doesn't mean the bbq in his back garden, though it probably is.

Re: Outback BBQ
You’re right Dominic, cooking with an Outback bbq is the same as cooking with any other gas bbq, but if you are used to an alternative bbq method such as coals or charcoal or Cypriot wood burning oven then the cooking method needs to be modified accordingly!
